How can I draft a document that leaves property in trust for some children but outright to others?

The drafting system currently requires property to pass to residuary beneficiaries in the same manner. If a client wants the residue to pass to some children outright and others in trust, you should answer the interview questions to leave all property in trust, and select the desired trust terms (for the shares that will pass in trust). Then, after assembly, you can add a short caveat to the residue provision, similar to that shown in red, below.
